Yo.
So I just got off work, back from washing dishes (literally and recreationally) for one of Lane's special events, Iron f'n Chef. Unfortunately I was stuck in the kitchen waiting for dishes and didn't get much into the rat race. My good friends Chef Tim, Chef Adam, Chef John and Chef Wendy did hook me up with some filet mignon. Notice I didn't say superb filet mignon because it's filet mignon, which is tdamn tasty. Which brings me to ethics, how can you use Filet Mignon and expect that your not going to win? I almost say that cooking filet mignon is a cheap way to win. If maybe the other team had Lobster it would be closer but there isn't anyone on the Community College circuit that is going to serve up Lobster. So anyhow the team I wanted to win, whom I've taken the liberty of naming Double Dragon, did not win.
Above: This is what Im thinking for the embroidery for next years Double Dragon team. Do you feel it?
Earlier in the day I stopped at one of my routine culinary hang outs, Taste of India. This is another one of those "using filet mignon" moves I talked about accept I'm on the other side of the kitchen. Know what I mean folks? Taste of India positives is that the food.......actually hold on, how about those big fiber glass trees in the middle of the restaurant? What the hell is going on with that?
Anywho, I highly recommend TOI for the food always seems to taste fresh regardless that it's a buffet. I love Turnips and the Fried Okra and other Assorted Vegetables. Your eating healthy with the vegetables but your also flipping the bird because it's fried. Win win. Be advised, eating any kind of indian buffet will not be followed by getting a lot of shit done.
Catch up with you on the weekend, Independence style.
